Our Story

It starts with my own medical history.

For the last ten years, I have been living with various chronic illnesses. And while the diagnoses and physical symptoms were all different, the mental and emotional symptoms were always the same. I always felt isolated. I was tired of having to explain my illness to people who didn’t get it. And every condition took a huge toll on my mental health.

The mental and emotional symptoms of chronic illness are not often talked about. But they can create a pretty powerful bond for those living with various health conditions. And no matter what we are going through, it’s a lot less of a struggle when we all have a community we can lean on.

That’s why I created Club Ill. It’s the community I wish I had when I was first starting to navigate my own chronic illness journey. It’s a space for those to connect around chronic illness, change the narrative around it, and support independent artists while we’re at it. Where we can use compassion, empathy, and humor to commiserate and remind each other that we aren’t so alone after all. Where we can feel seen, heard, and united by our differences. And maybe even be empowered by them.

So, welcome to our little corner of the internet. Thanks for stopping by.
